I think the best way is to talk with the future mentor directly. Of course, you have to do some homework to find out the mentor study intrest, the funding, and the papers. And match your intrest. PHD is the not the last step to achive the learning goal, but consider the time contribute , it is much better to study something you like, and with someone match your intrest. w-3 B~e
